La Scena Musicale Announces First Fundraising Campaign Montreal, March 1, 2000 / La Scène Musicale, the non-profit organization for the promotion of classical music, launches its first fundraising campaign wih the sale of 100 tickets to two Montreal concerts featuring pianist André Laplante and tenor Ben Heppner. Every dollar goes to fund the magazine La Scena Musicale. Tickets to the March 6th André Laplante concert (Centre Pierre-Péladeau in Montreal) cost $23 or $15 for students. Tickets for the April 9th Ben Heppner concert cost $57. The series of both concerts will cost $70 (a savings of $10 from the regular price), and as a bonus, subscribers to the series will also receive a free one-year subscription to La Scena Musicale.
