MICHEL DALLAIRE, NOUVEAU MEMBRE

DU CONSEIL D’ADMINISTRATION DU FIFA

Montréal, le jeudi 26 novembre 2009 – Le président du Conseil d’administration du Festival International du Film sur l’Art (FIFA), Monsieur Yvon Turcot, a le plaisir d’annoncer que Monsieur Michel Dallaire s’est joint au Conseil.

Monsieur Dallaire jouit d’une réputation internationale dans le domaine du design d’objets utilitaires, de produits industriels et institutionnels, de mobilier urbain et de matériel de transport. Il est président-fondateur de Michel Dallaire Design Industriel Inc. Lauréat de nombreux prix, il est également professeur associé en design industriel à l’Université de Montréal et à l’Université de Calgary. Très engagé dans les milieux des arts et de la culture au Québec, Monsieur Dallaire est notamment président du Conseil d’administration de la Fondation Emile-Nelligan.

Monsieur Dallaire n’est pas un étranger au FIFA : « Depuis plus de 20 ans que je fréquente le FIFA ; une source fabuleuse d’inspiration créative et de frissons esthétiques. »

Pour sa part, Monsieur Turcot a fait observer que « la somme d’expérience et de connaissances que Monsieur Dallaire apporte au Conseil sera d’un très précieux concours. »

Le Festival International du Film sur l’Art (FIFA) est une société à but non lucratif vouée à la promotion et à la diffusion des meilleures productions mondiales de films sur l’art et d’arts médiatiques. NEW MEMBER OF FIFA’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Montreal, Thursday, November 26, 2009 – Yvon Turcot, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA), is pleased to announce that Michel Dallaire has been appointed to the Board.

Michel Dallaire has established a worldwide reputation in the design of utilitarian objects, industrial and institutional products, urban furnishings and transport equipment. He is the founding president of Michel Dallaire Design Industriel inc. The recipient of numerous awards, he is also an associate professor in industrial design at the Université de Montréal and University of Calgary. Highly active in Quebec’s arts community, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fondation Emile-Nelligan, among many other positions.

Dallaire is certainly no stranger to FIFA: “For over twenty years I’ve been going to FIFA—it’s a fabulous source of creative inspiration and aesthetic delight.”

The International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) is a non-profit organization devoted to the worldwide promotion and presentation of films on art and media art.
