LONDON, ON, Jan. 14 /CNW/ - Conservatory Canada, a not-for-profit,
federally incorporate educational institution of professional
musicians and volunteers serving student and teachers through
programs of study, training, examination, recognition and performance
is pleased to announce the recent appointment of London native
Mary P. Brown as its new Director of Development. "Hiring a Director
of Development for Conservatory Canada is a strategic moveon the
part of its board of directors to increase the necessary resources
so that the organization can continue its key role in ensuring
excellence in music education throughout Canada," said Trevor Clark,
chair of Conservatory Canada's board of directors.
As Director of Development, Ms. Brown is responsible for directing
the Conservatory's fundraising programs for which its goals include
increasing its current endowment from $1.1 million to $5 million in
the coming few years. Mary comes to Conservatory Canada with several
years of fundraising experience in the charitable sector plus previous
years of similar experience as a Private Wealth Consultant at BMO
Harris Private Bank in London, ON and as a professional gift planning
fundraising consultant. Most recently she was Major Gifts and Planned
Giving Officer at Brescia College in London, ON.Mary attended the
University of Western Ontario (UWO) and has extensive certification
from UWO in not-for-profit management.

her warm personality and clear passion and enthusiasm for the job. As
Mary put it, she would like to '...make a difference in the world, one

Conservatory Canada.
