Carolyn Manley Named Director of Educational Programs
November 30, 2009 ELKHART, INDIANA ’Äì It has been announced that Carolyn Manley will return to Conn-Selmer to lead the educational outreach of this company. Manley will direct the Educational Programs of Conn-Selmer Institute, as well as manage special events and artist relations.
John Stoner, President and CEO of Conn-Selmer announced that Carolyn Manley will rejoin the Conn-Selmer team to focus energy building strong connections between music educators and the Conn-Selmer dealer network. ’ÄúAs we focus Conn-Selmer on the significant role played by school music dealers to support music education, we will rely on the experience and inside knowledge Carolyn possesses of this industry as well as the demands faced by music educators,’Äù said Stoner. ’ÄúWe’Äôre pleased to have her return to lead the Conn-Selmer Institute initiatives.’Äù
Manley worked at Conn-Selmer over eight years in positions of increasing responsibility from customer service through marketing management, and was instrumental in developing the educational division plan for Conn-Selmer. Manley returns to Conn-Selmer following four years of employment in senior management positions within the Gemstone Musical Instruments Company.
Manley worked as a music educator prior to joining the musical instrument industry and earning an MBA from Indiana University.
