This is a very nice feature of this web site! Unfortunately, my computer line is only 56K, so I can't play the little music modules. But it is nice to have a heads-up on composer birthdays!
The very first record I ever bought was a ten-inch Schubert LP by Marek Weber's Orchestra. It was wonderful. It had music from Rosamunde, Unfinished Symphony, Marche Militaire, and other melodies. That was the only record I could afford as a kid. Wow! Less surely is more. Now I have a vast collection of LPs that I rarely play. And I have a few CDs. I'm going to keep it that way on the CDs because more will become less.
The trouble with too much stuff is that you can't find the stuff you want to hear.
Love this web site!
